SEPP Asset Map

Section 1

In order to achieve the goal of The Smart Estate Plan Protector ˢᵐ, we must complete a thorough Beneficiary Review.  A Beneficiary Review is an easy yet vital process and will help determine whether your current beneficiary designations continue to meet your goals.

This Smart Estate Plan Protector Asset Map (SEPP Asset Map or Asset Map) will be used to conduct your Beneficiary Review.

Below you will find the key aspects to your SEPP Asset Map.

The first step is to identify your “Client Information”: Your name, spouse, marriage(s), children, grandchildren, parents, etc. as well as your current Advisor information.

Next you will identify your insurance policies and other financial assets under sections “Your Beneficiary Designations” and “Joint Tenancy” to determine how they will be distributed upon your death.

You will then contact each financial institution to receive a “Beneficiary Verification Letter” for each of our accounts or contracts.

For each asset, you should decide whether or not the current beneficiary designation still meets your goals. Have you named a contingent beneficiary where appropriate? If the answer is “NO”, then you will need to request a “Change of Beneficiary” form each account that needs to be updated.

A beneficiary omission may cause unnecessary probate costs and serious delays in the distribution of your assets. If your beneficiary designations are out-of-date, you may not be passing property according to your current intentions. With a beneficiary review, we will help you identify potential problems and suggest ways to solve them.

Next, if applicable to you, you will identify the specifics of your Will and/or Trust.

Finally, once you have completed this SEPP Asset Map, you will need to upload the Asset Map to our secure online server. Then, your designated Lifetime Paradigm Advisor will review your Asset Map to prepare for your Beneficiary Review and help you determine whether your current beneficiary designations continue to meet your goals.

Note, the SEPP Asset Map is intended to be completed by you, the Client. If you have questions, you can contact us at [email protected]. If you feel you need to consult a professional or need assistance in completing
your beneficiary changes, as a separate service you can schedule a Consultation Service appointment with one of our Advisors. We can also be available to
assist you in working with your attorney and/or CPA to update your estate planning and asset protection strategies to accomplish the goal you desire.

Important Notes:

  • The purpose of a beneficiary review is to assist policy owners in reviewing their assets and determining how they will be distributed upon their death. It is not intended to be estate planning, financial planning, or to offer legal or tax advice. If legal, tax, or other professional services or advice are needed, the services of a competent professional should be sought as applicable state laws and/ or regulations may impact your beneficiary designations.
  • You should receive a Beneficiary Verification Letter for each our your accounts and contracts.
  • You must receive confirmation from each financial institution that the beneficiary information change has been made. Assume that no beneficiary update has been made until you receive the confirmation.
